After a whirlwind of last minute packing and hurried goodbyes, I have finally arrived at Logan airport, anticipating my 3-week long adventure to the south of France!
I will be joining a group of students from Portland State University to study "The Geography of Food" in Aups, a small village in south-central Provence.
I never like to get my hopes up when making big and exciting plans in case they don't work out. So for the past couple months I have kept quiet and reserved, working out details, and researching life in Provence. But the top on the tea kettle has burst off and the realization of what I am about to do is sinking in. It's a bit overwhelming. I'm just really excited to set foot on European ground for the first time, meet the others in the program, and learn as much as possible.
Here I go!
